Job Description

A reputable MEP engineering solutions provider in Accra is seeking a Ghana-based Electrical Engineer with strong experience in transformer and medium-voltage (MV) systems to support power infrastructure and substation-related projects. The role involves ensuring reliable system performance, supporting installation and maintenance activities, and contributing to safe and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and maintenance of MV/LV electrical systems
• Installation, testing, and commissioning of transformers and switchgear
• Electrical configuration, diagnostics, and routine maintenance
• Cable sizing, load assessments, and protection coordination
• Interpretation of SLDs, schematics, and protection diagrams
• Supervision of substation and transformer-related installations
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical reporting
   

Required Skills or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ experience in the industry
• Proven experience in transformers, substations, or MV systems
• Strong understanding of protection systems and switchgear
• Proficiency with test instruments and diagnostic tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
