Job Description

We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented Delivery Officer to oversee the final inspection and handover of assembled and sold vehicles. The ideal candidate serves as the last line of defense in quality control, ensuring that every vehicle leaving our facility is in perfect mechanical and aesthetic condition. You will be responsible for conducting thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), identifying defects, and representing the company's commitment to excellence during the final client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive PDI checks on all vehicles prior to delivery to ensure they meet the company's manufacturing and safety standards.
• Perform quality control checks using the PDCA (Plan-Do-CheckAct) cycle to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Double-check the vehicle engine, dashboard, and electronic systems to ensure there are no warning lights, alerts, or mechanical issues.
• Inspect the physical condition of the vehicle (paintwork, interior,tire pressure) to ensure it is in pristine shape before client handover.
• Utilize the necessary tools and toolkits to adjust screws and fittings to the correct torque specifications.
• Maintain high risk awareness during all test drives and handling procedures.
• Strictly adhere to all rules, regulations, and safety protocols of the assembly and service department.
• Ensure that all bolts, nuts, and mechanical fastenings are secure, addressing any looseness observed during testing.
• If an issue is detected that cannot be fixed (e.g., dashboard alerts), immediately report it to your supervisor for rectification.
• Safely deliver vehicles to clients within the department (showroom handover) and outside the department (test drives or delivery to client locations).
• Manage time effectively; do not close early if a client is en route to collect their vehicle.
• Maintain perfect attendance and punctuality, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the team.
• Provide clear, accurate, and decisive feedback to managers.
• Communicate with clients patiently and professionally, understanding their needs and explaining vehicle features clearly.

Required Skills or Experience

• Education: Minimum of a Degree Certification in Procurement, Logistics, or Mechanical Engineering. A technical or engineering background is an added advantage.
• Experience: Previous experience in vehicle inspection, quality control, or mechanical fitting within the automotive industry in Ghana.
