Job Description

BRAC Ghana Savings and Loans Ltd (BGSL) is a socially responsible for-profit organization, engaging people, especially women, in sustainable economic and income-generating activities in Ghana. Our mission is to provide a range of financial services responsibly to people at the bottom of the pyramid. BGSL particularly focuses on women living in rural and hard-to-reach areas to create self-employment opportunities, build financial resilience, and harness women’s entrepreneurial spirit by empowering them economically.
 

PURPOSE

To assist country DTM in managing trainings, vendors, channels, staff/customer engagements and literacy programmes related to the Digital Field Application and other Digital Financial Services.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy digital field applications.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of these applications into the existing workflow.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Monitor and optimize mobile payment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Execute change management strategies to facilitate a smooth transition to digital processes.
  • Create comprehensive training programs for both staff and customers.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to ensure users are proficient in digital tools.
  • Identify potential resistance to change and develop mitigation plans.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, addressing queries and concerns promptly.
  • Gather user feedback and collaborate with the development team for continuous improvement.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring team members are appropriately trained, supported, and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
     

Required Skills or Experience

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • First Degree
  • Concentration / Major: IT, related discipline
     

EXPERIENCE (Including sector/industry)

  • Knowledge of Digital Financial Services Directive of the Bank of Ghana
  • Experience in payments in field applications
  • Knowledge in application Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Computer knowledge of MS World, MS Excel
  • Effective communication skills. Writing and reporting skills in English
  • Data management analysis
