The Capacity Building and Training Officer leads the planning and delivery of high-quality capacity-building and training initiatives contributing to strengthened partner capacities and effective project implementation through collaboration with technical specialists, including oversight for all training deliverables.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation of CSE and GBV interventions for adolescents and youth across all our Program Offices across the country (50%)
Strengthen the delivery of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in schools by leading coordinated teacher and facilitator training programs in partnership with district education sectors, enhancing engagement through school councils, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
Enhance the effectiveness of CSE interventions by developing and adapting culturally appropriate training frameworks, manuals, and innovative teaching tools, including UNESCO scripts.
Empower school-based CSE focal points to deliver age-appropriate extracurricular activities, increasing access and engagement of adolescents and young people in CSE programs.
Advance the protection of adolescents by implementing Violence Against Children (VAC) protocols in schools and facilitating inclusive community dialogues that promote conflict prevention and durable peace.
Ensure successful execution of training and event activities by managing planning, budgeting, and coordination with Finance and Logistics teams, aligning operational support with project objectives.
Coordination with government sectors in all our Program Offices across the country (20%)
Represent RTP at provincial and district forums, meetings, and events to advocate for Play-Based
Learning approaches in youth SRHR, while providing coaching and mentoring to key partners and actively monitoring the security situation to ensure effective and safe program implementation.
Monitoring, compliance, and reporting (20%)
Ensure timely collection, analysis, and reporting of quality project data by supporting documentation processes, contributing to progress reviews, and sharing key updates, success stories, and lessons learned with the Program Manager, partners, and stakeholders.
Strengthen project visibility and learning by coordinating district-level monitoring and reflection meetings, supporting partner collaboration, and aligning field-level communication efforts with donor visibility requirements.
Safety and Security (10%)
Monitor the security situation in the project location by actively participating in security clusters and providing timely reports to the Program Manager to ensure staff safety and program continuity.

Required Skills or Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in areas related to social studies, Public Health, Health promotion, or other related areas.
Proven experience in areas related to SRHR and Comprehensive Sexuality Education, in lowincome communities including those affected by conflict.
Experience in working with adolescent youth and women is crucial
Strong understanding of safety and security protocols in high-risk environments.
Languages: Fluency in English and local languages.
