The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services required for company operations at competitive prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Prior experience in automobile parts or a related industry will be an added advantage, but the role is not limited to auto components.
Responsibilities:
Source and purchase raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and services
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain procurement documentation
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
Coordinate with stores, production, service, and accounts teams
Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
Verify invoices, GRNs, and support finance for payment processing
Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Mechanical, or related field
2–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Automobile or engineering industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
