Position: Freight Broker - Kasoa

JBD Freight is seeking a motivated Freight Broker to manage and grow our road freight operations across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. The role involves sourcing freight opportunities, negotiating transport rates, coordinating shipments, and building strong relationships with customers and carriers. Also sourcing for local shippers and importers in Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

Source new freight business and transport opportunities

Manage carrier and customer relationships

Coordinate road freight shipments

Negotiate profitable freight rates

Resolve operational and delivery issues

Support business growth and customer service

Telesales including outbound calls to source new clients

Field work to win new clients.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven professional with experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transport operations. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to work independently, and a good understanding of UK and EU road freight operations.

The successful candidate must be organised, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple shipments while building strong relationships with carriers and clients. Experience in sourcing loads, negotiating transport rates, and coordinating deliveries is highly desirable.

Candidates with an existing network of carriers or freight customers, experience using freight exchanges/load boards, and knowledge of LTL/FTL transport and customs procedures will have an advantage.

Skills Required

Experience in freight brokerage or logistics

Knowledge of EU road freight (Training provided)

Knowledge of Ghana and ECOWAS road freight

Knowledge of ICUMS navigation, Customs declaration s a plus

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work independently

Good organisational and problem-solving abilities

Qualification in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
