Position: Advisor - Accra
We are seeking a Kutana Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging directly with business owners in various marketplaces and trade hubs, promoting Kutana’s innovative cross-border trade platform, and assisting them in onboarding and utilizing our secure payment system. The position requires a proactive approach in a vibrant professional environment dedicated to expanding Africa’s trade ecosystem.
Missions:
Represent Kutana professionally at markets, trade centers, shopping districts, and other locations frequented by business owners.
Introduce Kutana and our Trade Secure solution to merchants, explaining how it safeguards their trade activities and payments.
Assist merchants in signing up on the platform and completing KYC verification via their mobile devices.
Support newly registered businesses through their first transaction, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
Achieve and surpass predefined sign-up and activation targets, contributing to the platform’s growth objectives.
Maintain a strong brand presence by wearing Kutana-branded apparel and distributing business cards during outreach.
Gather insights and feedback from ground-level interactions to inform the Kutana sales and product teams.
Participate in regular product refreshers to stay updated on platform features and messaging.

Job Requirements for the Advisor Role
This Advisor position requires an experienced candidate capable of effectively engaging with business owners and promoting financial technology solutions while maintaining strict adherence to company standards.
Profile:
Required experience level in customer engagement, sales, or a related sector.
Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in at least one major language spoken in the target market, with fluency in communication.
Company activity sectors include fintech, trade, and small business services.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging with diverse audiences.
Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications daily, with the ability to demonstrate app features confidently.
High level of integrity and honesty, especially when discussing financial matters with clients.
Self-motivated, driven, and capable of managing tasks independently.
Reliable with the ability to commit a minimum of 16 hours per week and be punctual for training and work commitments.
Additional Desirable Attributes (Bonus):
Experience in sales, retail, customer service, or promotional activities involving direct interaction with people.
Current students or recent graduates seeking practical, paid experience in a real-world setting.
Existing networks among local business owners or traders.
Ability to speak more than one local language, such as Twi, Hausa, Ewe, or others.

Training & Assessment:
All selected advisors undergo comprehensive training before starting, with no prior fintech knowledge assumed.

The training is a full-day, in-person session covering Kutana’s services, how to approach business owners, onboarding procedures, KYC protocols, and handling common inquiries.
Assessment.
A brief knowledge test and practical demonstration are conducted one to two days after training to ensure understanding and readiness.
Certification.
Successful candidates receive certification, their starter kit, and are officially recognized as Kutana Advisors, ready to commence their duties.
The assessment process ensures that all representatives can confidently and accurately represent the company, as businesses trust us with their financial transactions.
Compensation Structure:
Advisors earn based on a commission model, receiving a percentage of transactions conducted by onboarded businesses. Earnings increase with the number of active clients, rewarding consistency and performance.
Recruitment Timeline:
The recruitment process spans approximately two weeks, following these steps:
Complete the application form, which takes about five minutes.
Participate in a brief screening conversation with our team if shortlisted.
Attend a full-day training session.
Undergo assessment with a short knowledge check and practical demonstration one to two days later.
Upon passing, receive your kit and official certification to begin as a Kutana Advisor.
