Position:Finance Manager (Banking, Investment and Asset Management) - Lekki 1,Lagos State

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our innovative fintech company. This role involves overseeing financial operations, managing treasury activities, and supporting strategic investment decisions to drive the companys growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in banking, treasury management, asset management, and financial analysis, with the ability to support executive leadership in optimizing customer funds, liquidity, and capital deployment within a fast-paced environment.

Missions:

Oversee the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, to inform strategic decision-making.

Monitor cash flow, liquidity positions, and overall financial performance to maintain operational stability.

Develop financial models, forecasts, and budgets that support business growth and strategic planning.

Ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust accounting controls and reconciliation procedures to guarantee compliance and accuracy.

Advise management on investment opportunities for customer funds and company reserves, optimizing returns while managing risks.

Design and implement strategies for treasury optimization, liquidity management, and yield enhancement.

Stay informed about financial markets, interest rate trends, and investment opportunities relevant to the business.

Evaluate short-term and long-term investment instruments, ensuring regulatory compliance and capital preservation.

Support the structuring and deployment of capital for loans, credit products, and other financial offerings.

Manage relationships with banking partners, payment providers, and financial institutions to ensure smooth operations.

Oversee fund movement processes and operational controls related to customer funds, ensuring security and compliance.

Contribute to the development of financial products from a commercial and risk management perspective.

Collaborate closely with compliance and operational teams to adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Assess financial and investment risks associated with lending, treasury, and investment activities, proposing mitigation strategies.

Recommend initiatives to improve profitability while safeguarding customer funds and company assets.

Support executive management with strategic financial analysis and investment recommendations to guide company growth.

Implement and monitor internal controls and governance processes to ensure financial integrity and compliance.

Coordinate statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting to ensure adherence to legal requirements.

Maintain ongoing communication with regulators, auditors, and external advisors to ensure transparency and compliance.

Job Requirements

This Financial Expert position necessitates an experienced professional capable of managing complex financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Profile:

Required experience level in banking, investment management, treasury, asset management, or fintech finance operations with a minimum of 7 to 12 years of relevant expertise.

Required education level includes a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.

Required language(s): English (fluency mandatory).

Company activity sectors relevant to the position include banking, fintech, investment firms, and regulated financial institutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of treasury and liquidity management, investment analysis, loan portfolio and credit funding structures, financial risk management, and banking operations.

Experience working within a fintech, digital bank, investment firm, or regulated financial institution is highly preferred.

Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.

Advanced skills in Excel and financial analysis tools, with a solid understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

Compensation:

The salary package is competitive, averaging between 6 million and 10 million per annum, and will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and industry exposure.
