Job Description

  • Department: Sales & Business Development

  • Reports To: Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing Agrohoa's sales strategy to achieve revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. The role involves leading the sales team, identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional customer service while promoting Agrohoa's agricultural products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Business Development

  • Develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with the company's business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, customers, and distribution channels.

  • Build strategic partnerships with farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, retailers, NGOs, and government agencies.

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.

Sales Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales forecasts.

  • Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on leads and opportunities.

  • Develop pricing and promotional strategies in collaboration with management.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Conduct customer visits and maintain regular communication with key accounts.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise the sales team.

  • Set individual performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews.

  • Motivate team members to achieve and exceed sales objectives.

  • Organise product knowledge and sales skills training.

Reporting and Administration

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records using CRM or other sales management tools.

  • Manage departmental budgets and control sales-related expenses.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field.

  • A postgraduate qualification or professional certification in Sales or Marketing is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

  • Experience in the agriculture, agribusiness, agro-inputs, food processing, or related sector is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based with frequent field visits.

  • Regular travel to customer locations, farms, distributors, and industry events.

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during exhibitions, trade fairs, or peak business periods.
